Good morning John - Coming to terms with stops and limits

Hope you had a good weekend. Today I am going to practice putting in stops and limits and getting up to speed with them. I got into two pickles with them and when I had opened a stop I wanted to override it and then close it and it closed what looked like it and opened another and before I knew it I had three sessions going and trying to get out of each of them. All went into a loss in my attempts to get out. I find it hard to do this quickly on Worldspreads so today I think I will practice going into and out of trades and setting stops and limits with speed. It didn’t help that my server decided to crap out half way through and I had to reboot.

Now it’s gone very flat so I will wait a while before trying but I doubt I will record wins and losses today and make today a practice session. These stops have been bugging me and if I cant use them properly then trading will become seriously risky as I see my profits dwindling and I don’t have a back-up to get me out.

A disappointing start to the week but thank goodness its demo and they are there to practice, however I see this as serious money so a setback like this has left me flustered.
