I am looking forward to lesson 9. This morning I set up my charts and I could not make out a trend so I left it. The 60 minute shows a sideways channel but the 1 minute and 5 minute were iffy. I then set up the Worldspreads chart and there was a perfect example of the trend going sideways away from the Bollinger band just like in your exercise and I could hear you say that this is not a trading opportunity and to come back later. I also saw the W/spreads MACD was horizontal giving me more evidence not to trade plus the spread was only around 20 pips.

Anyway I then waited and although its still not here nor there for me anyway, I was able to capture one sell opportunity as all the signs were good – MACD, parabolic SAR, RSI and Bollinger bands. I went in with a bid of £25 per pip and calmly set out my stop checking the right direction to put it first and then watched. I mentally brought my stop down and said I had to pass the point where I’d make a profit. I watched the chart and the blue till I could see I was in profit. I got into 4 pip profit and saw it started to teeter and the indicators looked iffy. So I closed the trade £100 in profit with 4 pips. Wow what a feeling. I have to admit I was terribly nervous this morning as I’m trying something new but when I finally went in I remained calm and got my 4 and made my £100 and am happy. Yes I have 6 more pips to go but I will get them in the same manner I got these. After I got out, the trend changed and I’d have lost it all.

What was especially interesting is that last week I was trading £1 per pip. (please see attached image) I now see where this was a good exercise because the row above my 4 pips and £100 profit said 6 pips and £6 profit. That to me was a wow moment. I can actually call it a day if I want to but I think another opportunity will come in however as I’m to make £500 this week and I’m 1/5 of the way there it feels good. I only make £60 a day in my day job so I’ve already upped that. I need eye openers like this for the penny to drop. My mindset is changing rapidly and I can’t wait to see your lesson 9 on VT as I have to admit I’m nervous but I KNOW I will crack it.
