Dear John
It was good to chat to you on the phone today and I will get a list of my portfolio and what’s in there.
I have been trading on the Worldspreads platform and it’s so neat. I have made two very quick profits of 8 and 6 pips and getting in and out is fast and easy. I’m really impressed. I had written to Worldspreads to find out about a tutorial as its not very clear on their website where the actual tutorial link is but after scouting a while I found it. Worldspreads in the meantime came back to me and said they would free of charge get someone to phone me and walk me through it. I found this very impressive
Can’t want for the scalping course. I can see why you use this platform.
I have made 14 pips today so I think its time to call it a day. All done in less than 30 minutes. Now that’s what I can become accustomed to Have a good one. Kind regards - Desiree
6/10/08Subject discipline
Hello John
Today is a lesson in discipline. The markets are dropping nicely – cable that is and I made an overall $713 in profits over 7 trades and $380 in losses in two trades I set my stops and it cut out at the stops. I was too slow with the one stop to widen it and the trade ended on a spike. I am happy with today’s trading and am baling for the day. I will keep watching the markets but I can see I made a right decision to get out when I did as it seems to be leveling off again.
Worldspreads really is good and I see what you mean by getting out fast. What I do is have two computers running. I have VT on the one and my Worldspreads ‘Open Bets Summary’ on one machine. Then on the other machine I have the window open that closes the trade. I prepare it so all I have to do is click ‘buy’ or ‘sell’. This way I can see my progress and when I am happy with my profits I close the sale with one click and it’s a done deal. Much faster than VT although I do something similar on VT and am able to get out fast there as well.
The discipline comes in now that I will not trade again today even though things are looking good. I’m excited with my gains and I feel if I enter another trade it will be my heart and not my head making the decisions and make loosing trades. Whenever the Americans come to work the euro and pound tumble and that’s when I make my biggest profits. From around noon till 3 UK time. Now Frankfurt has closed and things are not as busy as it was earlier on.
I also confirmed today that I need a quiet environment to work in. My son is with his grandmother in Edinburgh for a few days and so I had no interruptions. He sent me a message on Skype which popped up the dialog box and covered my screen. I got flustered and annoyed and lost $120. It took a while for me to regain my composure but once I did I was able to make a $420 profit in one trade. When I’m trading for real I will switch off Skype, phones and mobiles and concentrate on the screens.
Overall I am feeling a lot more confident. I keep out of trades that I would have entered 2 weeks ago. Patience and concentration is the game and I’m learning that. Have a good one. It’s cold here Kind regards - Desiree
